Round Mount Taranaki

On Saturday was round mount taranaki cycle classic. It was 150km and with only 35ish in the premier race it was always going to be a hard race. Attacks were going thick and fast early on and after 5km 6 of us escaped the peloton. This was the break to be in as the gap went out to 6minutes and was never going to come back. Unfortunately i ran out of legs after 106km. 40km of flast flat and McCauleys never ending attacks didnt help either. Ended up 12th after the 2nd bunch came flying past me with 10km to go.

Bodysol Junior Team Member Maik Wesink from Holland rode well to finish 8th and 1st Junior in the race. A good first win of the season for Bodysol!!!

I have the tour of wellington starting tomorrow so will be a good chance to test the legs before getting stuck into the european programme.

First Article

Hello All,

Firstly i would like to welcome you to my blog where you can keep up to date with my season in Belgium. I will do my very best to keep it updated and get some pictures up every once in a while.

I fly out of New Zealand on 20th Febuary and meet up with my team soon after.

Between now and then though i still have some New Zealand domestic racing to do including round mount taranaki and tour of wellington where i will ride for a composite team.

Until next time..

Ryan
